Server Virtualisation

What is it?

Virtualisation is the enablement of more than one operating system (i.e. Windows, Linux) to be run concurrently on just one server. This is achieved by dividing the server into separate, ‘virtual’ servers; one for each system, ensuring more efficient and productive operations.

Why use it?

  • Virtualisation enables services on different operating systems to be run in tandem.
  • A company that grows and changes operating system can continue to use the old one as well with total continuity

How do Cloud10 do it?

Cloud10 provide virtualisation services on an ad hoc basis or on a month-by-month rolling contract.
